Our Studio

Feel the Flow

Welcome to B.B.S Studios

Tucked between East & South Belfast on the vibrant and ever-evolving Cregagh Road, B.B.S Studios is a hidden studio that carries a little sanctuary(and just the right amount of magic) in its walls. A little wellbeing hub, where calm meets creativity, and community comes alive.

Inside our boutique, loft-style building, you’ll discover two unique studio spaces, each designed with love and intention to make you feel at ease the moment you arrive.

Between gorgeous soft lighting, warm wooden floors, soaring high ceilings, and a jungle of happy green plants and earthy hues, we have designed an area especially for you, to give you that instant exhale, and that little “ahhhhhh” your body’s been waiting for.

Here, we host a colourful tapestry of individual treatments, classes, workshops, gatherings, and community events, alongside beautiful rental spaces for space holders, therapists, group leaders, and dreamers alike. Whether you come to share your gifts or simply soak up the vibes, you’ll find a place that feels like home, a little pocket of serenity in the city.

At the heart of it all is Joanne, the studio’s proprietor. An experienced yoga teacher, makeup artist, and wellbeing expert, Joanne has a gift for helping people feel incredible inside and out. And her vision for B.B.S Studios is simple: a space where you can arrive as you are, leave a little lighter, and carry that sense of wellbeing back into your world.

So whether you’re rolling out a mat, joining a circle or retreat, or simply pausing for a breath between the busyness of modern life… hi, welcome. You’ve found your space.

Breathe. Move. Connect. Belong.

Joanne

Canadian-born and Belfast-raised, Joanne has been supporting women for over 20 years through one-on-one work and in the last 9 years through the practice of Vinyasa Yoga. As the founder of Barefoot Body & Soul, a wellbeing and yoga studio nestled between South and East Belfast, she offers a compassionate space for people to reconnect with themselves.

With a deep belief in the power of presence and community, Joanne guides others home to themselves through movement, breath, and stillness - tools she uses daily in her own life.

Meaghan

I’m Meagan: a yoga & meditation teacher, somatic therapist & massage therapist. I teach Hatha Yoga with somatic enquiry, blending tradition with deep listening to the body. Alongside this, I hold circles & guide sound baths as spaces for community, reflection & deep rest. My work is about helping you slow down, rest & discover your natural strength. Each practice invites you to pause, breathe & reconnect with the ease already within you.

Marianne

I've been practising yoga consistently for the past six years, and I recently qualified as a Function & Flow Yoga teacher.

Function & Flow Yoga combines movement mechanics with traditional vinyasa flows. It's a modern practice with a strong focus on and respect for the ancient traditions of yoga, where every aspect of the class is intentional.

My class is challenging yet fun, and it's beginner-friendly, with plenty of verbal and visual cues to help you build confidence. There's nothing more powerful than listening to your breath and acknowledging its vital role in keeping us alive. Yet, we often do it so automatically that we forget we're even doing it. Close your eyes and listen – it can be magically grounding.

Peace & love, Marianne

Namaste

I’ve been practising yoga for 4 years and finally followed my path to Rishikesh, India, to become a teacher. I specialise in the Ashtanga yoga — a traditional, dynamic sequence that builds strength, flexibility, and focus through breath-led movement.

Each class begins with pranayama to ground the body and sharpen awareness. Throughout the practice, I will provide cues for each pose and breath to help you move safely and maximise the benefits of each posture.  At the end of each class, I will break down and show precise alignment for each pose from the sequence, which will push your practice to the next level and help you become aware of and address any weaknesses in your body.

Ashtanga is a moving meditation. The set sequence allows you to track progress, drop into flow, and connect deeply with yourself.

Practice will start at 6:15 am -  7:15 am on Monday and Wednesday, and will have you awake, aware and ahead,  before most people get out of bed

Breathe, move, and return to centre.

See you on the mat.

Chloë

Hiya I’m Chloë!

I have been practising yoga for as long as I can remember, being lucky enough to have a mother who is a yoga teacher. My asana practice began around 18, and I completed my teacher training just a decade after that.

My classes are rooted in presence. Finding your body, your breath, and learning how to focus on it through dynamic vinyasa flow, often sweaty, always strong. Usually accompanied by a good laugh.

The asana practice I lead builds on strength and begs you to listen to what your body needs that day so you move safely.

I can’t wait to move with you

Helen T

I was practising yoga for over ten years before coming to Lotos Yoga Berlin in 2022 to start my 200-hour teacher training and deepen my personal practice. I completed my 500-hour certification and love to teach Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin.

I’m so excited to join the schedule at barefoot_body and soul, sharing a weekly Yin practice on Wednesdays, 18:30-19:30

In this class, I’ll guide you through slow, supported poses held for a few minutes at a time. It’s a chance to release deep tension, quiet your mind, and reconnect with your body.

No experience is needed—just come as you are, ready to slow down and breathe. This is your time to rest, reset, and let go.

I’d love to have you join me.

Lucie

Hello, I’m Lucie! Originally from Paris, I moved to Belfast 8 years ago and fell in love with its people. It was then that I started my inner journey and got interested in the practice of yoga. I never thought I would become a teacher as it all started as a personal inquiry and will to know myself deeper. But things happened naturally and I have now been teaching yoga in different forms since 2019. I have gone to India three times to train and deepen both my own practice and my knowledge of yoga.

I have trained in traditional hatha, vinyasa, restorative yoga, yin yoga and yoga nidra. I love them all and find that they all complement each other perfectly. Movement and stillness practices are both needed in life to find the perfect balance!
